This piece was strongly inspired by the turkey tail and oyster mushrooms I’ve seen on hikes around North Carolina this fall and winter. It features a deer skull with antlers, both mushroom species, and gardenia flowers (my favorite).
This piece feels like the outdoors and home to me.
It was burned on a 12x24in ambrosia maple round, finished with Danish Oil, and includes a keyhole hanger on the back.
